Everton had a good weekend, after securing three wins in their last five league outings against West Ham United at the London stadium.
Bernand once again, find the back of the net against the Hammers while the likes Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sigurdsson could not find their name on the scoresheet.
Everton are currently ninth on the Premier League table as this is due to the fact that their attacking options have not be yielding good results and with that in mind, the move for a new attacking option is needed at the Goodison Park this summer.
The Sun reported over the weekend that the Toffees are interested in signing AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, who was linked with a move to Chelsea last summer.
The England international has netted 11 goals goals and seven assists in 24 Premier League games this season for the Cherries.
Likes of Chelsea, West Ham United and Leicester City are said to be keen on the out-and-out frontman alongside Everton.
Wilson have a £40million price-tag which may well be an issue for some teams, but Everton, should the report bears fruit, should be able to table this fee.
While Everton can afford the £40million fee for Wilson, not all their supporters seems too pleased with the club’s link with the £40million rated, as some took to social media Twitter to suggest that such a mouth-watering fee should not be spent on an injury-prone player.
There are also some who believed the Bournemouth forward, who turned 27 in February, isn’t better than their current frontman Calvert-Lewin and with the latter at 22, time has passed Wilson to be signed.
Here are some of reactions from fans on Twitter:
£40m? Yeah alright.
That must make Calvert-Lewin £80m then.

Cannot believe for a second that we would, or even could, shell out £50m for soneone with zero resale value. Leao looks much more our profile.

Josh King would be a better buy

£50M – 27 years old with two brand new knees. Not an investment Marcel Brands will be making. https://t.co/7QXrFer7na
