The biggest match for the reminder of the year takes place at Anfield where current league leaders Liverpool host Arsenal on Saturday evening, with Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace v Chelsea and Manchester United host AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Our new Fantasy Football Tips features five players worth signing, five you should sell or avoid, and one to make your captain for the Premier League Gameweek 20.
IN: Vicente Guaita (Crystal Palace) £4.2m
Recently installed as first choice at Selhurst Park, the former Valencia man has kept two clean sheets in his first three games – and added two bonus points in the draw with Cardiff. An absolute bargain who can help you free up cash for outfield players.
OUT: Ederson (Manchester City) £5.7m
Very expensive for a goalkeeper, the Brazilian has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of the last six games. Even when City lose, they dominate the ball so much he is unlikely to get any points for saves (needing to make three to get one point). Cash in.
IN: Jamie Vardy (Leicester) £8.8m
It hasn’t been a vintage season for Vardy so far, but he is showing signs of form after a goal at Chelsea and assist against Manchester City. Faces Cardiff, Everton, Southampton and Wolves next – and Leicester are looking good right now.
OUT: Sadio Mane (Liverpool) £9.5m
Considering how much he is worth, the Senegalese has not been good enough lately with only one goal in the last nine gameweeks. He’s also only assisted in one match all season. Felipe Anderson, Ryan Fraser, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Roberto Pereyra, Richarlison and Bernardo Silva are among the considerably cheaper midfielders with a similar number of points.
IN: Lucas Digne (Everton) £5.1m
Three goals and an assist in four games have put the full-back on the radar of many managers suddenly. Everton have some decent fixtures coming up too, and at £5.1m he is not too expensive either. Worth a punt.
OUT: Callum Wilson (Bournemouth) £6.8m
It’s been a great first half of the season for the England striker, but he’s drawn blanks in his last three games now. His next five fixtures include Manchester United and Everton away, plus Chelsea at home. Might be time to move on.
IN: Felipe Anderson (West Ham) £7.3m
Still incredibly cheap, the Hammers’ attacking midfielder is enjoying a great season and has seven goals and two assist from the last nine matches. His next fixtures are away to struggling Burnley and at home to Brighton.
OUT: Kyle Walker (Manchester City) £6.5m
Very expensive for a defender, Walker has been dropped altogether in two of the last six games and has only managed six points across the other four. With just one goal and no assists all season, you are probably better off investing elsewhere.
IN: Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) £6.8m
Four goals and two assists in the last five games is very good form for the England international, who looks set to play a key role under his former reserves boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Already handed penalty-taker duties, he is a real bargain. Faces Bournemouth, Newcastle, Brighton and Burnley among his next five opponents.
OUT: Willian (Chelsea) £7.2m
For a regular started in the front three of a ‘big six’ side, the Brazilian’s return has been shocking this season. Just two goals and four assists in total is simply not good enough. Just two bonus points is also embarrassing. Steer clear.
CAPTAIN: Harry Kane (Tottenham) £12.5m
The Spurs man is on fire right now, scoring three and assisting two in the last three matches. Will back himself to score at home to Wolves, having already notched against them at Molineux last month.
