Manchester United have now joined in the race to sign England U21 international and Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon this summer.
The report is according to Sky Sports who are reporting that the Red Devils have made an initial contact with Fulham over the potential signing of the 19-year-old youngster.
There are also reports that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Arsenal are keen on securing the transfer of the youngster this transfer window but so far, Manchester United are the only club to have approached Fulham over his signing.
Fulham United finished 19th in the Premier League and no other team conceded more goals than the London based club this season with 81 goals.
Sessegnon has mainly been deployed on the left-back role, can as well be used as left-back and play as a left-winger. He registered 38 games across all competitions for Fulham and had two goals with 6 assists to his for the team.
As far as United are concerned, Player of the Season, Luke Shaw is the team’s first choice left back. The 23-year-old had his best ever campaign for the team since moving to Old Trafford, so, it will not come as any surprise to see him regularly start next season.
Manchester United, however, has Luke Shaw has an undisputed first choice left-back and the 23-year-old had been impressive so far for the club which earned him the club’s Player of the Season.
That said, Sessegnon would find breaking into Fulham’s team very hard to come by but with Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for £40million rated ace, he could be guarantee a regular playing time with the either of the North London club.
