Manchester United signed Wilfried Zaha during Sir Alex Ferguson era at Old Trafford. However, Zaha was shown the exit way when the lengendary English manager opted to call time on his managing career that saw Zaha ended up being a Crystal Palace.
Ever since his move to Selhurst Park, the 9-cap Ivory Coast international has defy many odds as he’s been one rated one of the impressive attacker in the Premier League as an Eagle player.
According to trending reports now, however, the 26-year-old, who is rated at £31.50 million by Transfermarkt, has told his club’s hierarchy that he wants to leave the South London club in the summer transfer window.
Moreover, it has been reported on The Telegraph that Zaha is prepared to hand in transfer request to the club with a return to Old Trafford set to be on the horizon. It is also mentioned in the report that Crystal Palace are holding out for nothing less than £100million fee for the right-winger.
Man United, as per the report, are considering testing the club’s resolve with a reported £70million which will represent a money well spent should this fee be considered for Zaha.
Zaha has been in red hot form for Palace in the past few season and this past season, the Ivorian has 10 goals with 10 assists to his name for the Eagles in 34 Premier League appearances.
Man United, however, have struggled on both side of the wing with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard failing to live up to expectations at Old Trafford.
Zaha, who has mainly been deployed on the left-wing, is a versatile talent that can be utilise anywhere in the attack and while he could sometimes play as a winger, he could as well be an upgrade on Romelu Lukaku on most occasion.
